A celebration of the power and resilience of nature, the Wood of Life Leaf Wire Earrings were inspired by artist Michael Michaud trip to join relief efforts following the 2016 storms that devastated the Grand Bahama Islands. Upon seeing the destruction of the islands' lush forests and natural landscape, the artist spotted a single Lignum Vitae (known for its remarkable density) standing strong and tall amidst the destruction like a beacon of hope. The Wood of Life, or Lignum Vitae, is the national tree of the Bahamas. These earrings are handmade in the USA from cast bronze and finished in a soft green patina.

ABOUT MICHAEL MICHAUD
Michael Michaud began his career at the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology's school for American craftsmen, and graduated in 1980. Over the years, Michael has developed his unique and highly recognizable Michael Michaud Jewelry line. He begins each piece by creating a model from natural elements and then transforms these models into his beautiful jewelry collection. Each exquisitely detailed piece is crafted in the USA, using high quality bronze, sterling silver or gold, and various natural stones and pearls, and cast in bronze using the artisan's special lost wax technique.
