The De Rosa family has been intimately involved with ceramics since 1945 when the founder, Jorge De Rosa attended the Argentinian National School of Ceramic Design. The South American ceramic works of art seen below are created with honor and adoration for the animals that inspired each.
Made from fine ceramic, each piece blends the attitude and whimsy of surrealist art and South American artists like Dali, Picasso, and Miro with natural inspiration and careful handiwork.
Each figurine is first hand carved, then colored with enamel by hand. Every piece gets fired individually for each new shade applied. The figurines are then finished with 24k gold or platinum trim. Check out how the process works in the video below.
