A favorite brand of wall art here at Wildlife Wonders, Bovano of Cheshire was founded in 1952 by wildlife artist Jim Bower. Bower's lifelong passion began as an art experiment in fusing powdered glass or "vitreous enamel" onto copper wire. What began as an experiment became the artist's life's work: Bower went on to develop the style of his artwork into a wide array of works of wildlife and nature art crafted using his glass-and-metal fusing method.
Today, Bovano continues to outshine other artistic decor companies in quality of design as well as in the beauty and vibrant coloring of their unique nature and animal pieces.
The Flood family continues the same style and practice begun by Bower, fusing powdered, colored enamels onto copper and metal designs to create vibrant, cohesive, and nuanced colors in wall art and table top sculptures.
Each Bovano of Cheshire piece is still produced from start to finish in Cheshire, Connecticut, crafted by the hands of artists, and inspired by nature's beautiful and elaborate design.
