About Bronwen Weber

Bronwen Weber has over 30 years’ experience sculpting and has recently directed her passion towards ceramics. Bronwen Weber’s sculpture medium was cake for the majority of her career.  Her prolific TV career started with her cake “Bombay Romance” which was featured on Food Network’s “Here Comes the Cake” production. Subsequent appearances on more than 35 of the Food Network Challenge competitions resulted in more gold medal wins than any other chef on the network. Food Network granted her the title of Cake Challenge Champion. Two series followed in 2018, Dallas Cakes and Ridiculous Cakes. Episodes can be seen on demand on the Food Network. In 2010, she was named one of the top ten cake artists in North America. In 2014, she was named top 25 most influential pastry chefs in America and in 2018 she was named among the top 20 educators in the country.  Now she brings all that talent and eye for playful detail into clay sculpture, where her art won’t be eaten in days. Bronwen grew up living all over the world and had all kinds of pets including rats, moles, ducks, chickens, and mynah birds. As a child she loved everything related to animals, especially books by James Herriot, Gerald Durrell and Farley Mowat. Bronwen lives in Dallas with her husband Brad, her two dogs (Calliope and Pippi) and her cat (Penelope).  Bronwen sculpts each piece by hand over a period of months. No molds, no shortcuts, no two are the same. Slab or coil built from varying clay bodies, each work has its own personality. The sculptures are kiln-fired to last a lifetime (or ten) and meticulously cold finished or glazed to highlight texture and detail. All sculptures come with a letter describing the work signed by Bronwen and a certificate of authenticity.
