In ancient times a Seahorse was considered sacred to both Poseidon and Neptune as protection from the dangers of the sea. Guiding sailors on their voyages and even escorting their drowned souls into the afterlife Considered good luck in Chinese culture especially for those who dare to journey onto the great seas. Sea Horse is a magical creature, 46 species in all, that can teach us great life essons. Unlike other fish who are constantly on the move, The Seahorse remains anchored by it’s tail showing us the importance of staying grounded even when the world surrounding us feels like a turbulent ocean. When a mate dies, the other soon follows it’s partner as they cannot live without one another. A sign of love and devotion we can all learn from. Despite their small size they are symbols of power and perseverance. They are here to remind us of our own power regardless of how small we feel.

This incredible seahorse sculpture by artist Jon Anderson is simply stunning.  Featuring intricate designs, this gorgeous sculpture is sure to delight all who see it.  Please note that each of these is handmade by the artist.  They are all unique.

About FimoCreations

Each one-of-a-kind, made in Bali, Indonesia, Jon Anderson Fimo Creations polymer clay sculpture comes in a gift box made with recycled paper.

  • No two FimoCreations figurine are alike.
  • Every piece boasts its own array of colors and shapes.
  • Classical Moorish motifs, Native American spirits, Celtic themes, and ancient petroglyphs appear in his work.
  • Using a polymer or non-terrestrial clay, Jon blends colors to create a striking variety of magnificent hues.
  • "Canes" of colored clay are then laid out to form the shape he envisions, then cut into tiny individual tiles.
  • Each sculpture is crafted from hundreds of these tiles, applied in a range of patterns to an interior form of hand-carved wood or leftover clay.
  • Completed sculptures are repeatedly fired and cooled, sometimes creating tiny fissures or "crazing" that further distinguishes each piece.
  • When the firing process is complete, each piece is hand-finished for a brilliant satin appearance.
