Acorns were used extensively as a food source for Native North Americans, and also roasted as a coffee substitute. It is also important for local wildlife populations. The acorn fruit has been recognized in country medicine for relieving chilblains and frostbite. These earrings are proudly made in the USA.
The Pin Oak earrings feature hand patinated cast bronze leaves and 24kt gold over bronze acorn caps. Each acorn is created from hand-cast glass in shades of autumn leaf orange. The wires are 925 silver with a 24kt gold plating.
