Symbolic of life's fragility, these Hummingbird Spirit Sterling Silver Earrings are made by Tsimshian artist Bill Helin.  A master wood carver, artist Bill Helin is the son of Tsimshian Indian Chief Hyemass and grandson of Henry Helin, former Chief of the Girlan Tribe.  Helin studied at the famous Ksan Indian Art School in B.C. where he learned traditional design, tool making, wood carving, and jewelry engraving under Tsimshian Master Artists.  The Tsimshian believe the Hummingbird to be a joyful messenger and mysterious traveler. If one appears during a time of great sorrow and pain, healing will soon follow. The Hummingbird Spirit Sterling Silver Earrings bring a fresh outlook and natural beauty to any wearer.

About Metal Arts Group

Our collection of Metal Arts Group Jewelry brings you an offering of the finest earrings, necklaces, and bracelets inspired by nature's diverse design and includes the work of wildlife artists Jody Bergsma, Barry Burger, Sue Coccia, Judie Frisbie, Kayla Shadow, and more. In 1895 ambitious jeweler and entrepreneur Joseph Mayer sailed from Europe to New York Harbor to build a new life in the United States. An adventurer at heart, he first journeyed to Seattle, WA, at the cusp of the Great Klondike. He struck gold and soon built one of the finest and largest jewelry companies in the United States. Though the company name has since changed from Joseph Mayer & Bros. Inc. to Metal Arts Group, Joseph Mayer's inspiring legacy leaves a lasting mark on the American Jewelry Industry.

Metal Arts Group Jewelry is designed in the USA by a team of exceptional artists with the thought of appealing to a very wide range of tastes and cultures.  Whether single pieces or ensembles you will find a contemporary flair from Celtic and Quilt patterns combined with western and Northwest Coast Native American work.
