Crafted with careful detail using "vitreous enamel" (a form of colored, pulverized glass) hand-applied to the solid copper structure, this unique butterfly accent piece features a sleek yet vibrantly colored surface that results from kiln-firing the glass to fuse to the copper base. This wall sculpture presents an array of floral and botanical design inspired by nature's color palette, including the deep royal blue and black butterfly wings, bright orange panels of the monarch's wings, golden sunflower petals, olive-green fern fronds, bright orange and peach lily petals, and the soft magenta of turk's cap flowers.
